Come little sister,
I'll hold your hand.
Let's go together,
into the far land.
Our dreams await us,
excitement builds.
Skips and giggles,
I'll share with you.
Hold long little sister,
I'll guide you through.
Come along now
little sister,
I LOVE YOU.
This was a response to a picture prompt from Magpie Tales. Thanks Tess.

DeleteAw, that was how I felt about my little sister when we were kids. Our adult relationship has been so complex. We struggle to understand one another. But it is that foundation of love and friendship from the past that binds us together, makes us keep trying. Obviously, I loved your poem.
ReplyDeleteMy sister is 14 years my junior, we are still very close. Wishing you the best.
